A young girl stumbles into a frozen wonderland. Far from home when she comes across a sign only reading “Home of the Winter King”

The girl wanting a warm meal and a place to stay decided to visit the Winter King. As she walks she hears the humming of a soft tune and a piano playing a soft but familiar melody.

The Winter King sits atop a snow hill playing a melody but just as surely as she sees him, he too sees her and smiles warmly.

“Hello child, what brings you to my lovely world?” he asks softly.

She replies, “What is this place?”

The Winter King would say all so jolly.

“Why this is my Winter Kingdom where I reign as a just and happy ruler.”

Then he continued “Now for me to ask, why are you here so far from home?”

She would say shaky and cold “Please mister I am cold and hungry, and I don’t know how to get home.”

The Winter King not breaking his warm smile suggests.

“Please, you may stay in my castle as my guest. I shall have my chef prepare the finest meals for you.”

As the two sat by a warm fire they began to speak however, as the girl would get to know the Winter King she would see he was not happy inside even though he had the best smile.

She would ask him.

“Winter King, why do you not frown when you are sad?”

The Winter King, not knowing what to say at first, begins to speak.

“For I must be happy, if I am not happy then what other things could I feel?”

She would then tell the Winter King all the emotions that she feels and he would listen.

As the Winter King listened he began to shed a tear letting his emotions show for the first time.

The Winter King would say now with a true smile.
“Thank you child for showing me what it really means to feel emotion.”

“I shall send you home now with a treat. I am sure your family misses you dearly.”
